A nocturnal exploration of the city
11.03.2022, HEAD – Genève x Tram des Nations

Nightcrawl proposes an exploration of the Grand Saconnex neighbourhood and its thresholds as the day turns into night. We will observe and explore how the arrival of night impacts this part of the city in different ways, from illumination and sound to the use and occupation of spaces – residential, industrial, infrastructural, liminal. As we stumble from light into darkness and back again, nightfall will be our guide and our hiding place.

Meeting time: 6PM
Duration: 2.5 hours

This project has been developped in collaboration with the Tram des Nations residency. The Tram des Nations residency is a research-creation programme proposed by the Fonds Cantonal d'Art Contemporain, EXPLORE Genève and Theatrum Mundi, and financed by the Republic and Canton of Geneva, the City of Geneva and the City of Grand-Saconnex. The programme consists of two collective and participative residencies taking place in March and April 2022. They will be followed by a public restitution in June 2022 during the EXPLORE Geneva Festival and the publication of a digital edition in October 2022.
